Before you charge in and try to install this package, you should take a walk through the documentation file “Remember? Manual (MacWrite)”. I know it is pretty long but it gives a step-by-step installation guide which avoids common problems. The documentation file is "MacWrite" format, as close to a universal standard on the Mac as you can find. Don't panic if you double click on the document and get the infamous "The file “Remember? Manual (MacWrite)” could not be opened (the application is busy or missing." Just open your word processor and use it’s "Open" or "Import" file command to locate and open the manual. (Some programs, like my old version of WriteNow, provide a separate program to translate MacWrite files to their format. Check the word processor’s manual for info on how to open MacWrite format files.)
(NOTE to users of the old, original MacWrite under MultiFinder. You should set the memory partition for MacWrite to at least 512k otherwise it will bomb for insufficient memory when loading the documentation. Change it using the "Get Info" command of the Finder.)
*** SPECIAL REMINDER TO USERS OF 32-Bit Quickdraw! ***
You must use version 1.2 or later to avoid very strange problems with the DA's menus. Version 1.1 MAY work, but I am SURE that version 1.2 of 32-Bit Quickdraw works fine.
Pass the package along to other folks, but please be sure to pass along ALL files (and try to pass the original files, not the copies you have in your system folder which could have be altered.)
Keep watching your local BBS or online service for updates to the package and occasion files with more events, birthdays and such.
